Mantra of the Month:
Lean into Love

Edition #38 - Read Time: 3 min.

I’m sitting at the exact same table where I sent out our first email broadcast one year ago.

Returning to this familiar space, I can’t help but notice how much has changed.

Where I was vs. Where I am.
Who I was vs. Who I am.
How I was vs. How I am.

A year ago, I was navigating a big transition—stepping away from a company I spent three years building to lean into love.

And now, as we prepare to complete this earth-orbit and welcome a new year, this is the mantra I want to close 2024 with: Lean into Love.

Love and fear exist on a spectrum.

Fear is the root of disconnection, born from perceived danger, judgment, and separation.

Love is the root of connection, arising from trust, joy, and safety.

We live in a world that capitalizes on fear.

It preys on vulnerabilities for profit, promotes propaganda to feed insecurity, and wields control by keeping us small.

Fear whispers: “Stay safe. Don’t risk. Play small.”

It’s fear that convinces us:

That working 40 years to make someone else wealthy is better than investing 40 weeks in our own vision.

That we’re safer conforming than taking a leap into the unknown.

That the cost of judgment is too high to be seen as we are.

Fear keeps our wings folded.

And what most don't recognize is that fear thrives on illusion.

These aren’t acts of fear—they are acts of radical self-love.

They are bold declarations that you are worthy of trust, joy, and safety.

Yet, somehow, we’ve been stripped of our power and led to believe the opposite. We’ve been tricked into thinking that pursuing our dreams is reckless, that letting go of what no longer serves us is selfish, and that choosing ourselves is an act of fear.

There is no fear in love.

When we lean into love—into trust, alignment, and growth—we reclaim our power.

We remind ourselves that we are not here to merely survive; we are here to thrive.

So this month I want to center the concept of Self-Love.

Acts of self-love often look like acts of bravery:

  • Leaving a job that feels misaligned.
  • Walking away from relationships that hinder growth.
  • Investing in the dreams that set our hearts ablaze.

So, I ask you:

Where in your life are you being held back by fear?
And what can you do differently to lean into love?

This time last year, I chose love over fear.
It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

As we step into another turn around the sun, I invite you to do the same.

See you in the next one,

Elijah

Just taking the space to feel into it - truly. Full creative autonomy, all variables within our control. We poured ourselves into understanding every part of our business, and building systems behind it. Only now am I looking ahead and...

It happened during a 3-month backpacking trip through Southeast Asia after graduating university. I met a South African man named Ryan at a hostel in Siem Reap, and we traveled to Sihanoukville together. He offered me some LSD, and we journeyed for an entire day. I remember being in the ocean, splashing around...
